Matt is a successful entrepreneur, active investor, and company owner who has established multiple businesses in various countries including UK, USA and Spain, over his 20 years in the Green Technology sector. His experience includes operating and running energy assets either directly or for 3rd parties, as well as consulting on multiple projects worldwide. These projects have taken him from biomass production in Sweden and the USA for SCA and Green Power respectively, commodity trading in energy products for European power generation clients Drax and SSE, plastics recycling in the UK, through to solar power in Ghana, biofuel production from Used Cooking Oil (UCO) in Holland & Germany as well as battery storage.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects are a key component of what Matt and the Group want to deliver, and this has now led him and the Group into the mining and water purification sectors.
Davis brings more than 15 years of experience in senior finance positions across various industries. He commenced his career at KPMG before moving on to Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Financial Services. Most recently, he spent a considerable number of years working at Credit Suisse in Switzerland before moving to the Private Equity/Venture Capital world. His background includes strong experience on a range of strategic finance matters and risk management. Davis is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Chartered Management Accounting qualification (CIMA). He speaks Maltese, English, Italian and German fluently, and is currently learning French.
Chris is an Investment Banker with over 35 years international work experience in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Over his career he has held senior executive and line management positions in leading US, Canadian and International banks and institutional fund management companies including Bankers Trust Company, Royal Bank of Canada and Advent International. Chris has also founded several businesses and remains an active shareholder, as well acting as a management consultant to several international IT businesses.
Chris is involved in the investment and development of project and finance-based funding solutions for Green and Clean Technology solutions and projects internationally.
Peter has extensive managerial experience, with 25 years of progressively relevant expert knowledge in the sustainable sector, including Renewable Energy Infrastructure development and policy, Agile Programme Management, strategy, securing significant partner funding, climate change risk & resilience, agroforestry, land-use change, natural capital, international affairs, and international development policy and programmes. His research industry experience includes managing assets up to €730m.
Peter has advised the European Fund for Sustainable Development Plus (EFSD+), developing sustainability fund models and approaches for the European Commission globally and across Europe linked to Green Finance and Natural Capital. He has appeared on France24 as a key expert on climate change and is a member of the IFC’s Fast-Infra platform targeting infrastructure, land, natural capital and development. Peter has also coordinated inter-governmental organisations to develop sustainable projects and effective programmes.
Franco has an engineering background strengthened by an MBA diploma from the London School of Business and Finance. During the 25 years of his career, he has held various senior managerial and operational positions in Switzerland, UK, Germany, Italy, Russia and Poland for several multinational companies.
Franco has experience in reengineering business processes and products with a focus on technical, manufacturing and operations activities for diverse sectors spanning chemical to medical to metals. He led complex operational transformations guided by Lean and World Class Manufacturing principles. He is the founder of VAREYE, a Chain of Custody system.
Franco has three adult children, he resides in the Canton of Zug, Switzerland and consults on strategic development and optimising operations for several companies locally and in many European countries.
